Play for Smite Cup #4 Niklas ”Meradana” Bergdahl This week’s installment of the myRevenge Smite Cup was won streamed on twitch.tv by SMITEcast, go over there and follow them for the next tournament! This week we had 10 teams participate and ProCore Gaming, our champions was one of them. Their first game was against Team Random 5, which scored 2 kills on different lanes, the first blood being picked up by Arachne, an Arachne holding 3 jungle buffs at that point. The second kill was very intense as Guan Yu managed to evade Ares’s ultimate by using his own and kill Anhur. The game was then moving relatively slowly up until 16 minutes when Guan Yu and Arachne got counter-ganked when they tried to kill Anhur and Ares, resulting in the deaths of not only themselves but also of Cupid who tried to assist them, they then promptly picked up the Gold Fury. Kills were then picked up by either team on two opposite lanes, with ProCore keeping their lead over Team Random 5 with 1 kill. 22 minutes into the game Team Random 5 made an attempt at the Gold Fury but they got engaged upon by ProCore who came out on top in that team fight, killing 5 people and losing only 3 but failing to prevent Team Random 5 from killing the Gold Fury. ProCore then quickly killed the Fire Giant and baited Arachne out to kill her as well, after this ProCore Gaming engaged Team Random 5 in the middle and the left lanes before scoring a deicide and finishing the Minotaur off. ProCore Gaming’s first match of the best of 3 finals against Juice Gaming, a very good looking kill was scored at the beginning of the game on Juice’s Wukong by Sobek and Wukong, throwing him into to turret and then moving on to pick up Artemis, making the score 3-1 in ProCore’s favor after only 2 and a half minute. A huge team fight was created around the 5 minute mark at Juice Gaming’s blue buff leaving 2 dead on both teams and 1 more casualty for either team on the right lane as well. The game progressed on relatively smoothly after this and both teams picked up kills over several engagements and ProCore maintained their lead. ProCore then picked up the Gold Fury after 13 minutes whilst Juice Gaming tried to tower dive Anhur until he popped his Aegis. The next big team fight happened after 17 minutes when ProCore picked up the Fire Giant scored a deicide, only losing 2 players themselves. As 2 members of Juice were distracted by Zapman, playing as Wukong the rest of the team pushed the left lane which turned out to be crucial as the minions sneakily killed of the Minotaur a few minutes later. The second game had some very interesting items being picked up by both teams, ProCore opting to get 2Heartseekers, making a very risky play as they very well may cost them the game, and Juice picking up 2 creeping curses at level 1 and also Doom Orb on Hel. ProCore, for the first team fight of the match, ganked Juice as they were making an attempt on the red buff, resulting in 2 kills for either team. After 16 minutes the score was 3-5 in ProCore’s favor but this was about to change as Juice tried to kill the Gold Fury, but it got stolen and Juice lost 2 people in the process. After this ProCore’s snowball items, the 2 Heartseekers as well as a Doom Orb on Ra let them score a fast Deicide before they lost anyone other than Agni, making Juice gaming forfeit. |
