This last Saturday, December 8th, the second weekly smite tournament hosted by myRevenge took place. The teams that took part in the tournament were ProCore Gaming, Juice Gaming, Focus Reborn, Reason Gaming, DDoS2Win, Bipolar Method, Aspect Gaming, Borderlands Gaming EU, Irrational Gaming and wecamestronk. The format was a 16 team knockout tournament and this meant that 6 of the teams got to advance without facing an opponent in the first round, Reason Gaming was one of those teams and in their second round their opponent DDoS2Win did not show up, in the semi-finals, Reason Gaming faced ProCore Gaming.

In this game ProCore Gaming invaded the enemy jungle before the minions spawned, however they got outplayed and outpositioned and lost 2 people to Reason Gaming putting them about 1000 gold behind. There was a lot of action in the early game after the first invade but it did not result in any casualties for either team. After merely 10 minutes ProCore Gaming had caught up to Reason Gaming in gold but they did not manage to hold on to this advantage as Bakasura and Sobek managed to pick up 3 kills with Sobek just escaping. There was a teamfight at the 18 minute mark which Reason Gaming won scoring a deicide losing only one player, being really lucky to have 3 players escaping with low health. After this, the game went downwards for ProCore Gaming as they lost 3 people and several people 23 minutes into the game. Only a few minutes after this Reason Gaming scored another deicide, killed the fire giant and all 3 phoenixes before going back to base and then finishing the game.

In Reason Gaming’s second game they faced Bipolar Method, whom had had a similar journey to the Finals as Reason Gaming. In this game Bipolar Method’s passive gamestyle left them with little to nothing to put up against Reason Gaming’s snowballing farm. Reason Gaming had farmed the jungle camps a lot during the entire game and they had played generally very aggressive and they had had some strong ganks. After 13 minutes the score was 1-9 in favor of Reason Gaming after they had killed 3 of Bipolar Method’s players and stolen the Gold Harpy. Bipolar Method never managed to recover and the final score was 1-19 at the end of the game.
